IBM Db2 - Datafold

INFOColumn-level Lineage is not currently supported for IBM Db2.

Steps to complete:

Prepare a user and a schema for Datafold

Datafold needs a Db2 user with read access to the tables you want to diff, and a schema where that user can create tables. Datafold uses this schema to materialize scratch work and keep data processing in your database.

-- Create a schema for Datafold's temporary tables, owned by the Datafold user
CREATE SCHEMA DATAFOLD_TMP AUTHORIZATION DATAFOLD;

-- Grant read access to the tables in YourSchema (Db2 11.1 or later)
GRANT SELECTIN ON SCHEMA YourSchema TO USER DATAFOLD;

Configure in Datafold

Field Name	Description
Connection name	A name given to the data connection within Datafold
Host	The hostname for your Db2 instance
Port	Db2 connection port; default value is 50000
Username	The Datafold user
Password	The password of the Datafold user
Database	The name of the Db2 database you want to connect to (for example, `bludb`)
SSL	Connect over SSL
Schema for temporary tables	The schema name only, for example `DATAFOLD_TMP`

Click Create. Your data connection is ready!
