# Which version am I on?

> Datafold runs two versions of its app. Find out which one you use, and which docs apply to you.

Datafold runs two versions of its app. Use the version menu (**Current** or **Classic**) to switch between their documentation.

| | **Current** | **Classic** |
| - | - | - |
| Who uses it | All migration projects and all new customers | Customers who joined before the current app launched |
| Multi-tenant hosts | `us.datafold.com`, `eub.datafold.com` | `app.datafold.com`, `eu.datafold.com` |
| Dedicated and customer-hosted | Datafold-managed or in your own cloud | Classic Dedicated Cloud |
| New organizations | By invitation | Closed to new organizations |

## How to tell

The most reliable signal is the address you sign in at. If it is `app.datafold.com` or `eu.datafold.com`, you use **Classic**. If it is `us.datafold.com`, `eub.datafold.com`, or a dedicated or customer-hosted deployment set up for a migration project, you use the **Current** version.

You can also check the left navigation in the app:

* **Classic** shows **Data Explorer**, **Lineage**, and **Deployment Testing**.
* **Current** shows none of these.

If you are still unsure, ask your Datafold contact or [support@datafold.com](mailto:support@datafold.com).

## What differs

The current app focuses on data diffs, data diff monitors, and migration delivery. These Classic features are not available in it:

* CI/CD testing, AI code reviews, and the dbt, orchestrator, and CI integrations
* Data Explorer, lineage, and table profiling
* Metric, data test, and schema change monitors, and monitor notifications
* BI and data app integrations for lineage

The REST API and MCP server use the same authentication in both versions, but the available endpoints and tools differ. Each version's API reference lists its own endpoints.
